SAN FRANCISCO--It may be the middle of the summer, but thoughts are already turning to the fall when retail galleries, art dealers, interior designers, picture framers, publishers and more will make their way to the Concourse Exhibition Center from Nov. 1 to 4 for Artexpo California 2001.
"Artexpo California 2001 promises to be an even more impressive show than last year," said Show Director Doreen Guerin.
Last year's debut attracted 150 exhibitors representing 475 artists, and more than 6,000 art trade professionals and collectors were in attendance. The 2001 show has already attracted many big-name exhibitors, including Smart Publishing, London Contemporary Art, Collectors Editions and Edna Hibel.
In addition, a variety of special events have been planned. Artexpo is once again sponsoring ArtSpan--San Francisco Open Studios--the Bay Area's most popular, highly attended free visual arts event. During the month of October, more than 52,000 Bay Area residents and visitors tour the studios of more than 780 San Francisco artists. "We're very committed to building an art fair that is in touch with the community of San Francisco," said Guerin.
She also noted that this year's show will expand upon the Youth-Arts program, will feature comprehensive educational seminars and will host an opening-night reception for the trade. For details and more information, call 800-827-7170 or visit www.artexpos.com.
