Art Business News, July, 2001
WOODSTOCK, Vt.--Wild Apple has donated and loaned a total of 50 pieces of framed decorative artwork to the National Cancer Awareness Foundation for a project called "Jan's House of Hope." The project runs until late July, is a fully furnished and landscaped dream house built on a seagoing barge. It is touring seven cities on the eastern seaboard to promote cancer awareness and to raise $10 million for community cancer awareness projects and hospice programs.
Said Maggie Stavish, project coordinator for Wild Apple, "Jan's House of Hope gives us the opportunity to get involved in this important cause. It has been exciting to watch this project come to life."
In other news, Wild Apple was named a finalist in the 11th Annual Deane C. Davis Outstanding Business Award competition, which is sponsored by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Vermont Business Magazine.
