BOCA RATON, Fla. -- American Royal Arts has signed artist Terry Peterson. Peterson is a famed muralist whose work can be seen at the Smithsonian Institution, MGM Grand Hotel, San Francisco Airport, Seattle Kingdom, Houston Space Center and the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum. Peterson also has been a motion-picture matte painter, with his paintings appearing in the both the Jaws and Jurassic Park film series. Peterson recently painted a fleet of airplanes for a Disneyland promotion for Alaskan Airlines and has painted around the globe for theme parks in the United States, Europe and the Far East.

American Royal Arts recently released Peterson's first release of Betty Boop entitled, "The First Fine Art Portfolio of the World's First Pin Up Girl." Five releases with editions of 125, all signed by Peterson, were premiered at Artexpo New York in March.

CEO and President Jerry Gladstone announced the Peterson's signing in conjunction with American Royal Arts' publishing agreement with King Features for pop icons Betty Boop and Popeye. Gladstone stated that when King Features paid homage to their roster of cartoon properties for the 100th anniversary of the comic strip, they called on Peterson to paint the characters for the historic occasion.
