Alvar Lithograph chosen for music festival publications

ATLANTA -- "Conciert de Violi" a lithograph by Spanish artist Alvar, has been selected by the Brevard Music Center (BMC) in Brevard, N.C., as its cover art for this year's publications and music festival. The lithograph will be featured on BMC's student catalog, recruiting poster, postcard and souvenir magazine.

"This artwork was a perfect match for our music center and festival," said Stephanie Eller, director of marketing and public relations for BMC. "The themes in Alvar's lithograph reflect our mission to nurture an educational atmosphere and enrich musical culture, and the coloration is representative of spring and summer in North Carolina."

For eight weeks each summer, the Brevard Music Festival presents 75 concert events ranging from pops to Broadway to symphony orchestra. In 2002, more than 70,000 music fans attended the festival.
