Art Business News, July, 2004
ATLANTA -- "Placidez" an original painting by Spanish artist Salvador Caballero, has been selected by Prentice Hall as the cover art for its 2005 edition of a creative writing manual titled "Mooring Against the Tide." The book will be used by student writers, as well as individuals wanting to improve their skills in fiction and poetry writing.
Caballero's painting was selected for the cover because of its peaceful nature and recreation of the late evening sun. The painting depicts an anchored boat resting in a marsh-like area, as the sun sets behind a mountain range.
The painting is 60 cm x 76 cm (approx. 24" x 30") and is available for purchase through DE Fine Art and retails for $4,950. For more information, call (770) 457-8008.
