JUNEAU, Alaska -- Marine-life artist Wyland joined passengers last month aboard three Princess Cruise ships for live painting demonstrations, art auctions and meet-and-greet cocktail parties during a summer Alaska tour.
Wyland has been associated with Princess Cruises since 1997, when Princess Cruises Fine Arts commissioned large-scale bronze fountains for the pool areas of Princess Grand-class ships.
"Wyland's works have always been extremely popular with the passengers" says Mark Bronson, director/founder of Princess Cruises Fine Arts, the sole fine art distributor aboard Princess Cruise ships. "Millions of dollars of his artwork has been sold at sea, and his works are seen by more than 35,000 passengers every week. What makes him even more unique is that his non-profit foundation has similar goals with Princess' environmental program, 'Planet Princess', which only enhances the special bond between the artist and cruise line."
