SEATTLE--Grand Image announces the release of a portfolio of 18 hand-pulled, limited edition etchings from artist Susan Gillette. The renowned woodcut artist Antonio Frasconi, along with master etcher Rimer Cardillo, greatly influenced the work of Gillette. Colors and textures create movement in her pieces.
The portfolio is grouped into four distinctive categories: "Faces of the World" a series of six globally inspired etchings that showcase ethnic facial features; "Le Dessin," a diptych expressing the linear manner light plays across paper; "Chez Chez" collection, a series of six colorful images that features minimalist design and simple materials; and "Homme and Femme," a series of four figuratives that captivates subtle movements and gestures from the combination of gravity and muscle tension.
