ACC Craft Show returns for 28th year
SAN FRANCISCO -- Hand-crafted works from more than 300 artists will be on view Aug. 8 to 10 at the Fort Mason Convention Center as part of the American Craft Council's 28th-annual Craft Show. The largest juried craft show iii the West, the event features jewelry, wearable art, quilts, baskets, toys and furniture, as well as sculptural and functional works of glass, ceramics, metal, wood, paper and decorative fibers. More than 11,000 are expected to shop the diverse selection of one-of-a-kind and limited edition craft.
"The council takes pride in presenting an exhibition in which highly talented American craft artists can display their individuality with one-of-a-kind works or limited production pieces," said Carmine Branagan, executive director of the New York-based American Craft Council. "We deeply appreciate the richness and uniqueness of the trait tradition in California."
Admission is $8 for one day, $14 for both days, and children under 12 are admitted free. American Craft Council members and those who join at the show also are admitted free. The show runs h-ore 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 9, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 10. For more information, call 800 836-3470 or visit www.craftcouncil.org.
