BURBANK, Calif. -- Collectors Editions Inc. of Canoga Park, Calif., has been named the global publisher for select fine art portfolios of artwork using Disney characters and settings. Collectors will work with Disney to produce and market limited-edition prints on paper and canvas for Walt Disney Art Classics, the art and collectibles unit of Disney Consumer Products (DCP). The offerings will include new and previously released images from Disney's Art of Peter Ellenshaw and the Art of Disney Storybooks portfolios, as well as new interpretations from established and emerging artists and the new Disney's Art of Academia portfolio.
"Collectors Editions has an impressive roster of artists, and their team has an incredible understanding of Disney and what it stands for. We look forward to utilizing their expertise in fine art publishing to expand our business and introduce new artist-inspired works for our collectors," said Harry Holman, senior vice president of handlings for DCP.
