PINE BUSH, N.Y. -- Artist and illustrator Dave Cutler will publish his first children's book, When I Wished I Was Alone, this fall. Several images from the book, which is published by GreyCore Press, are being released by the artist as s/n prints in editions of 365 each.
The book, which was written and illustrated by Cutler, is about a boy who, after getting angry at his family, wishes he could always be alone. After his wish comes true, the boy learns about the joy and wonder of being alone, but also realizes how much he misses his family.
Cutler is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York and has been a freelance illustrator for 18 years. His illustrations have appeared in the pages of numerous publications, including Time, Business Week, Forbes, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Playboy, the Washington Post, Glamour, Newsweek, and U.S. News & World Report. He has also won many awards for his work.
