Art Business News, Sept, 2004
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- "The Framers' Forum," formed by Michael Jay Gluckman, is an Internet community for art and framing specialists designed to keep professionals' ears to the ground, and to inform them of needs, desires and trends within the industry. As a manager and framing designer of Palm Beach FrameMakers, Gluckman wanted to create a "chat room" to allow all members to freely ask questions within the art and framing industry, while other expert members are encouraged to offer answers, advice or knowledge in response to the questions. The "chatting" takes place via e-mail. Members get their questions answered, in most cases, within minutes.
The service is free to join and use, and the site features links to other Web sites, including companies involved in all aspects of the art and framing world. There also is a contact directory for members who wish to list their business addresses and a photo album where members can post photos of their new designs and styles. All information posted will only be viewable to those who join.
To sign up, visit http://groups. yahoo.com/group/FramersForum or for additional information, e-mail Gluckman at DelrayDrifter@yahoo.com.
