LAS VEGAS -- Cormier Creation unveiled "Mel's and Deo's Playground," by Wil Cormier, in late July during a ceremony celebrating the artist's piece. Internationally known for his mermaid paintings, Cormier was commissioned by the family of Mel Fisher, one of the greatest treasure hunters the world has ever known, to paint an oil on canvas. George Guzman, president of Cormier, opened the ceremony with a speech to a crowd of some of the most famous treasure hunters around, as well as Mel's wife, Deo, and daughter, Taffy, and son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Kim Fisher.
"The hair on my arms stood up as the cover was removed off the art," said Kim Fisher.
Cormier Creations will be featuring this special numbered, limited edition giclee in several galleries around the country, including the Fisher treasure stores. For more information, call 800-551-3729; visit www.wilcormier.com.
