Size makes the masterpiece

Art Business News, Sept, 2005

VANCOUVER, BC -- Hambleton Fine Art Services, which has been delivering fine art products and custom framing to corporate and retail clients for more than 20 years, presents a new service, Casa Collection. This service gives customers the freedom to choose their own dimensions for limited edition giclees. Fine art wholesalers, galleries and interior designers can pick from more than 45 professional artists in all mediums at www.casacollection.ca, and simply enter the width and height desired. Immediately, the artwork will appear on a virtual wall with those dimensions chosen, alongside a human-sized onlooker to give the viewer life-size proportions. The visitor can resize at will, again viewing it on the virtual wall, as well as the adjusted price with different sizes. The Web site is updated with 30 new limited editions quarterly.

"Our designers love the Casa Collection," says Pieter de Bruin, an interior designer with Mitchell Freedland Design, Vancouver, BC. "Proportion is design, so anytime we can size a piece to occupy its place with such precision, it puts a polish on the whole design."

With state-of-the-art digital printers, Hambleton Fine Art Services uses an 8-color process and pigmented inks on canvas or archival papers. And, the only limitation on size dimensions is preserving the integrity and proportions of the original artwork.
