We Remember - Postings - Viewpoint Studios creates graphics for Public Broadcasting Service's commemoration of 9/11 - Brief Article

Post, Oct, 2002

BOSTON -- PBS enlisted design house Viewpoint Studios (www.viewpointstudios.com) to create the graphics package for the week-long "We Remember" programming dedicated to the events of 9/11.

Viewpoint chose to keep the look simple, layering still images together. The studio created the still that would be the main background plate, which, similar in appearance to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, is a list of names of those who died. Other still photos -- a person holding a candle or firefighters lifting up the American flag -- were superimposed along with key words. Created in Adobe Photoshop, Discreet Flame and Smoke, Viewpoint designed the main open and delivered all the elements, so the network could create program-specific graphics.
