Design house Kinetic opens in NYC - Animation

NEW YORK -- A new visual design and production company has launched in NYC offering motion graphics, title treatments and branding for TV spots, broadcast media and music videos. Kinetic (www.kineticnycom), founded by Boomtown president Steve Kraftsow and design specialist Matt Dessner, will also produce animatics and live test spots for ad agencies, as well as animations for Web applications.

In addition to Kraftsow and Dessner, the Kinetic team includes compositor Ian Drew, designer Oliver Suh and business manager Mary Sansevero.

The studio features a Discreet Smoke editing/compositing system, along with five Avids and multiple 2D and 3D Mac-based graphics design workstations.

Since teaming up, Kinetic's talent has worked on projects for Bell South, Crest and the Cayman Islands

The studio has also posted projects for Heineken, General Mills, Showtime's Hollywood Hits, and the DVD Back to the Secret Garden.
