NEW YORK -- After a three-year stint as lead Inferno artist at Quiet Man in New York, Colin Stackpole has struck out on his own, founding Brandname, a visual effects boutique located in Manhattan's Flatiron district Stackpole is joined by 2D designer/Mac artist Patrick Lavin, who also served at Quiet Man.
Stackpole has a reputation as a high-end visual problem solver with the ability to design seamlessly realistic computer generated effects. He has a ton of high-profile commercials under his belt. Lavin brings 2D skills with him, including graphics and title design.

The 2,500-square-foot facility features a Discreet Flame system running V.8.2 software. Lavin's 2D graphics suite hosts a Mac G4 running Adobe's suite of software tools.
