Yamaha gear THX pm3 certified

Post, Dec, 2004

BUENA PARK, CA -- Yamaha's (www.yamahaproaudio.com) DM2000 V.2, DM1000 V.2 and 02R96 V.2 digital consoles are now included on the THX pm3-approved equipment list as studio monitoring systems, as are the company's MSP10 Studio powered monitors, which are certified as front and surround speakers. The Yamaha digital consoles are equipped with complete surround monitoring facilities, eliminating the need to connect and feed the signal to external monitoring equipment.

The THX pm3 Studio Certification Program addresses the need for reliable, translatable and superior performance in professional multi-channel mixing and monitoring studios worldwide. THX has created a performance standard that focuses on: the listening and viewing environment, the selection of audio and video equipment, the layout of the working area, and calibration.

THX pm3-approved surround monitoring functions include a downmix monitoring matrix, bass management and THX pm3 presets, monitor alignment functions (attenuator and delay for individual speakers), a built-in Oscillator and a snap-to-85dB SPL function.
