Editing and 3D animation software from Ulead - Products

TORRANCE, CA -- Ulead Systems (www.ulead.com) has new versions of its nonlinear editing software MediaStudio Pro and its 3D animation software Cool 3D Studio.

MediaStudio Pro V.7 is a software-only editing solution that can play and output five DV streams simultaneously on a single-processor Pentium 4.2 GHz computer.

Complex sections in a project that exceed the realtime capabilities are flagged, allowing the user to render just these sections and avoid rendering the entire project. Other features include multitrack audio mixing, advanced texture, shadow, motion effects and filters, and enhanced timecode and source management. MediaStudio Pro is due out in the first quarter of 2003 at an estimated cost of $495. Prices for upgrades have yet to be determined.

Also from Ulead comes 3D animation software for video production. Cool 3D Studio is priced at $129 for the boxed version and $119 as a download.

Designed to streamline 3D text and graphics work, features include an independent keyframe timeline for each graphic object, the ability to pad frames and import Discreet 3D5 Max and DirectX models.
