Duff gets retro

Post,  Feb, 2006

MINNEAPOLIS -- Pixel Farm (www.pixelfarm.com) continues its work with Harder Fuller Films, having recently completed visual effects work on Hilary Duff's Beat Of My Heart music video. The video mixes live action of Duff with a retro-styled 2D/silhouette effect reminiscent of James Bond title sequences.

In-demand DP Matty Libatique shot Duff on 35mm film. Jolynn Garnes offlined the video at Jagged Edge. Pixel Farm then began the effects work. The video opens with a CG heart and waveform EKG effect created in Alias Maya. The wireframe mesh that overlays Duff's face and hands was crafted in Discreet Inferno.
