NEW YORK -- Wonderland Productions (212-966-9040) is providing production and post services for ESPN's new series Down Low: Life in the D-League. The 13-show series follows a reality format looking at a minor league basketball team from Charleston, SC, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Wonderland co-owner Bill McCullough serves as Down Low's co-executive producer and stresses the importance of organization on a show with such a stringent production schedule. Each 30-minute episode of Down Low only has eight days for editing, mixing, color correcting, conforming and delivery.

Down Low is shot on Beta SP. Editing takes place using the facility's two Avid Media Composers and a Symphony system, all connected to a Transoft shared storage system. Audio is posted using Digidesign Pro Tools, which is also connected to the Transoft network After the show is color corrected using Symphony it's brought in to Smoke for a film-look pass. The final version is output to Digital Betacam.
