Acmeworks upgrades with Sledgehammer HD!0 storage - Post News

Post, March, 2004

CALGARY, ALBERTA -- In order to centralize HD and SD I/O and provide network access to captured material, AcmeWorks Digital Film (www.acmeworksdf.com) has purchased a Maximum Throughput Sledgehammer HD!0. AcmeWorks specializes in digital film recording for preservation and presentation. Many AcmeWorks clients, including The Cartoon Network, have implemented archiving policies to safeguard the equity of their franchise products.

Simon Minshall, senior engineer at AcmeWorks, first saw the product at IBC '03. "Prior to seeing Sledgehammer for myself, our growing needs suggested a Storage Area Network would be required."

Sledgehammer HD!0 is a networked storage solution, designed for moving digital content, fast, in an IP-based network.

Post production facilities can use Sledgehammer HD!0 to consolidate all their storage needs, including HD material, regardless of data sets in use. The system provides networked realtime SD and HD resolution video I/O capabilities.
