Atto launches Celerity FC storage adapter line - Post News

AMHEARST, NY -- Atto Technology (www.attotech.com), maker of Fibre Channel, IP and SCSI storage infrastructure solutions, has introduced the Celerity FC storage adapter product line, which take advantage of Fibre Channel connectivity. The new line of adapters includes 2GB single-, dual- and quad-channel adapters.

The solutions are designed to work with both host systems and fabric devices. The Celerity FC line features an integrated, onboard hub design, Integrated Offload & Processing Center (IOPC) and Advanced Data Streaming Technology.

Celerity FC-24XL provides four independent channels and features Atto's IOPC, providing additional processing and buffering capabilities onboard the storage adapter reducing server CPU usage. The FC-22XH is a dual-channel adapter, while the FC-21 PS is a single-channel adapter designed to serve as a cost effective alternative choice for connecting host systems to Storage Area Networks. The company says the line can be used for specialty applications such as high-speed data streaming and high I/O server applications.
