DALY CITY, CA -- Digidesign (www.digidesign.com) was at NAB with V6.1 of its Pro Tools DAW The new version brings Avid interoperability to the audio tool and offers identical features on both Mac OS X and Windows XP platforms.

The new V.6.1 will support the AAF interchange and is expected to ship in July. Digidesign will also be offering a DVToolkit this summer, bringing timecode and OMF/AAF import/export capabilities to its LE (M-Box, 001 and 002) family. The DV Toolkit will carry an introductory price of $795, which will eventually go up to $995.
