DpsVelocity NLES get V.8.2 upgrade - Post News

Post, May, 2003

TORONTO -- At NAB last month, Leitch (www.leitch.com) unveiled V.8.2 of its software for the mukistream dpsVelocityQ and dual-stream dpsVelocity nonlinear editing systems.

The V.8.2 releases now sport a new interface style featuring a new color scheme, flexible customization options, timeline picons and Leitch's powerful EyeCon View. EyeCon View continuously displays the picons and clip timecode of all visible layers based on the current playhead position, providing constant visual reference for all layers on the timeline while scrubbing and aligning clips. This allows users to easily and precisely align specific frames across layers.

Additional new features provided with V.8.2 include native file export to Leitch VR servers, support for Windows Media Format .9 and support for Direct-X audio plugins in the timeline, Advanced Authoring Format (AAF) and OMF import and export will also be offered through a new specially priced interoperability option. OMF functionality was developed in conjunction with Trakker Technologies, developers of conversion tools such as Slingshot.
