Post, May, 2003

NOVATO, CA -- Preparing for the HD-DVD revolution, Sonic Solutions (www.sonic.com) debuted V.3 of the DVD authoring system Scenarist.

Scenarist V.3 features several new workflow enhancements. In addition to the current copy and paste function of prior releases, V.3 allows users to paste entire command sections from one command area to another. To enhance collaboration and multi-seat authoring, V.3 has VTS import and export so complex title authoring can be distributed across multiple authoring seats and then integrated into a unified file.

V.3 also has pan and scan video support enabling any 16:9 encoded video to be imported and centered. File sharing is now possible between Scenarist and DVD Creator and DVD Fusion. Enhancements were made to the template handling to improve the efficiency Of creating box sets and preparing titles.
