NEW YORK -- Richard Cormier, the recently appointed senior VP of Nice Shoes, has been named managing director of Guava and Freestyle Collective in New York City. Cormier succeeds Nice Shoes founder and partner Ed Patrowicz, who is retiring. As a member of the senior management team, Cormier will help expand and integrate the current operations at Nice Shoes, Guava and Freestyle CoHective. He served as senior VP of commercial digital services at Santa Monica-based Ascent Media Group, following four years as managing director of Ascent-owned Riot, Santa Monica. During that time, he oversaw the merger of POP, POP Animation, Digital Magic, 525 Studios, Hollywood Digital West and the original Riot into what is today Riot, Santa Monica.
