Original sound effects, such as Macar's backyard lawn spreader, were recorded to an HHB DAT machine. Additional effects, such as kids playing and other exterior ambiences were also added. Dark ambiances and upbeat music was used to underscore problems and solutions of dealing with fire ants. Favorite Lawn and Two at Once were cut by Convergence's Lora Zaretsky on an Avid Media Composer. Both were directed by Charlie Cole.
