Sonic's HD DVD authoring app

Post, May, 2005

NOVATO, CA -- Sonic Solutions (www.sonic.com) debuted Scenarist HD at NAB, one of the first HD DVD authoring systems. The system features the same workflow and user interface many professionals are already familiar with, providing a smooth introduction to HD authoring.

HD DVD combines high definition video and audio content with improved menus, subtitles and navigation to heighten the viewing experience. Key new features in the Scenarist HD application include support for the latest HD video codecs (H.264, AVC, VC-1 and MPEG2) and audio codecs (Dolby Digital Plus, DTS HD and MLP), menus with up to 48 buttons each, and 256-color sub-pictures for smoother looking subtitles and expanded navigation capabilities.
