Nice shoes buys 15 high-DEF. VTRs - Post News

NEW YORK -- Nice Shoes, a post studio that focuses on agency work, has purchased 10 Panasonic AJ-HD3700A D-5 HD mastering VTRs, along with five AJ-HD15O DVCPRO HD studio VTRs to meet the increased demand for DVCPRO HD production.

The AJ-HD3700 series D-5 HD recorders are designed for program mastering, HD telecine, TV spots, and multiformat DTV and HDTV program production tasks. With work coming from both European and US ad agencies, Nice Shoes decided to replace its existing D-I format SD recorders with the Panasonic AJ-HD3700A recorders, which are capable of 525-/625-line (NTSC/PAL) SD recording as well as 720p/60, 1080i/50/60 and 1080p/24 HD formats.

The AJ-HD3700A can record, edit and play back both 625 PAL and 525 NTSC D-5 cassettes as well as D-5 tapes. The AJ-HD3700A can also record, edit and play back 1080/23.98p and I 1080/24p HD formats. The AJ-HD 150 supports record, edit and playback of 1080i and 720p material, facilitating work in facilities that require both HD formats.
