Accom's universal format disk recorder

Post, June, 2005

MENLO PARK, CA -- At NAB in April, Accom launched APR/ClipStore MXc, the newest member in its family of high-performance, universal format disk recorders. The system combines Accom's new Sequoia video key audio processing hardware, the latest high-performance disk drive technology and the NetPanel graphical user interface. The APR/ClipStoreMXc supports both high definition video with high-quality compression, and uncompressed standard definition video and AES/EBU digital audio.

Using JPEG 2000 compression, APR/ClipStoreMXc provides high image quality for compressed HD video, while affording efficient storage. The unit is available in two versions, offering two or four hours of realtime record and playback capacity. Storage can easily be doubled by striping video and key media drives into a single video-only volume, when a separate key channel is not required.
