Visual effects/animation house Steele VFX in Santa Monica has hired Ian Dawson as executive producer. Dawson most recently served as a senior producer at Riot Santa Monica, where he was primarily involved in high-end commercial projects. Dawson began his career with the visual effects and design boutique Novocom in '88. A year later, he was named executive producer and led the company for seven years. He later spent four years with Rhythm & Hues' commercial division as head of post production and CG.
