Mysteries, rituals

Post, July, 2004

DENVER -- Citizen Pictures (www.citizenpictures.com) recently created a contemporary graphics package for the National Geographic Channel's Riddles & Rituals series. The program takes a look a legendary mysteries and rituals, and uses modern science and analytical techniques to help better understand them.

The :10 open follows an "ancient-meets-modern" theme, tracking a modern-day explorer who returns from the field with data and material. Director Jeanne Kopeck used artifact props and white light boxes to contrast the ancient/modern theme. The package's elements were shot in HD with many of the effects happening in-camera. National Geographic Channel's senior art director Lucas Aragon edited the project. Adobe After Effects was used for graphics work.
