HUDSON, MA -- Facilis Technology (www.facilistech.com), a designer and builder of high-capacity, turnkey SANs for post, has released TerraBlock 1.4, a feature-rich system upgrade that facilitates increased scalability in capacity and performance through the combination of multiple servers on a single network. TerraBlock 1.4 offers a server direct architecture that employs attributes of both SAN and NAS solutions.
TerraBlock 1.4's 4Gb Fibre Channel enables realtime collaboration, even where image streams require access speeds of over 300MB/second. Sharing features grant multiple users access to image and sound data simultaneously.

The cross-platform TerraBlock solution supports all Avid, Apple and Adobe NLE, graphics and effects apps. The TerraBlock 8xs, eight-drive solution starts at $9,990. The 12-drive 12D starts at 15,990 and the 24-drive 24D at $26,490.
