Red Giant displays eLin at show

Post, August, 2004

SAN FRANCISCO -- Red Giant Software (www.redgiantsoftware.com) will be at the Plug-In Partner Pavilion at this year's SIGGRAPH, showing eLin, an After Effects plug-in designed for 3D compositing. The plug-in was developed by The Orphanage for use on The Day After Tomorrow, Hell-boy and Jeepers Creepers 2.

The After Effects plug-in addresses challenges such as motion blur, depth of field, glows, and basic transformations that often result in compositing various 2D/3D sources. Using eLin, artists will be able to safely round-trip Cineon files without losing any data; color correct according to lab specifications; and give basic compositing operations a photographic quality. The tools also works with ILM's OpenEXR file format. The once proprietary ELin supports Adobe AE V.6.5 and is available for commercial use for $499.

It is also available for free but for non-commercial use only.
