At IBC, Medea shows Video Raid RTS disk array - Products

Post, Sept, 2002

CALABASAS, CA -- Built specifically for digital content creation, Medea Corporation's (www.medea.com) new VideoRaid RTS is a low-cost, fail-safe disk array. Now shipping, the VideoRaid RTS is available in a compact five-drive desktop tower with capacities of up to 480GB. The array features a high-performance Ultra 160 SCSI interface that enables the RTS to sustain a data transfer rate of up to 100 MB/sec.

In addition to its high bandwidth capabilities, the VideoRaid RTS is also designed with data protection in mind. In the event of a disk drive failure, the system will continue to operate with no loss of data and no degradation in data transfer rate.

The five-drive VideoRaid RTS will be shown at the IBC convention and is available now in 160GB, 320GB and 480GB configurations with prices starting at $2,799.
