UK-based post production solutions developer 5D has hired software engineer and technical strategist John Bennett as the new film products manager responsible for the development of an integrated solution for digital film grading and visual effects. Bennett was formerly with the Moving Picture Company in London where he specialized in digital film imaging and digital intermediate infrastructure technologies.

Prior to MPC, Bennett worked for over four years at The Mill in London where he designed and built the IT infrastructure and digital film workflow software. He has also worked at Abekas and CAL Videographics.
