Happy pill

Post, Sept, 2004

NEW YORK -- Audio post house Pomann Sound (212-869-4161) in New York City, recently provided sound services for a new Zoloft commercial out of agency Kaplan Thaler Group LTD. Zoloft is a repeat customer, says principal/sound designer Bob Pomann, who's worked on more than a half-dozen spots for the anti-depressant pill maker.

For the most recent spot, Pomann handled sound design, working out of the facility's DSP Postation room. Pomann, himself, is the actual voice of the small pill, and records dialogue and VO using a Neumann PLM 170. The studio also called on its Msoft sound library management system to find and call up sound effects for the project. Agency credits include writer John Murphy, producer Sharon Petro and art director Simon Hunt.
