Boxx shows PCI Express workstations

Post, Sept, 2004

AUSTIN, TX -- Boxx Technologies (www.boxxtech.com) was at this year's SIG-GRAPH with its newest line of high-performance desktop workstations. The Boxx 4200 is a cost-effective single-processor Pentium 4 workstation that designers and artists can further upgrade. The 8200 series takes performance to a higher level with dual-processor configurations designed for animation and digital video editing applications. Both the 4200 and the 8200 line incorporate PCI Express technology and DDR2.

The 8200 line supports EM64T memory technology. The system offers 400MHz dual-channel ECC DDR2 and has a front panel with both USB and FireWire connections. An aluminum chassis is available in 6, 8 or 12 hard-drive configurations.

The 4200 series, with the P4 processor and Intel 925X chipset, includes 400MHz dual-channel DDR2, an Intel high definition audio subsystem, front panel FireWire and USB connectivity and a 6, 8 or 12 hard-drive aluminum chassis.
