MFSA/NAMF Launch Finishing Technology 2001 Tradeshow - Metal Finishing Suppliers Association - National Association of Metal Finishers - Brief Article

Automotive Finishing, Winter, 2000

The Metal Finishing Suppliers Association (MFSA) and the National Association of Metal Finishers (NAMF) are pleased to announce the launch of a tradeshow aimed at plating shops, captive shops and targeted segments of the finishing industry. Finishing Technology 2001's mission is to attract prospects and customers who can make the market grow by specifying more plating and other surface finishes. The initial show will focus on the automotive industry. Automotive OEM and aftermarket represent the most dominant industry segments for all finishers. A 1997-98 industry survey indicates that about 52% of all job shops and 66% of captive shops are involved in these two automotive market segments. The first show will be held November 5-7, 2001, at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn in Dearborn, MI.

The tradeshow will also feature a two-day educational conference, including Management Outlook and Plating for Automotive. Management Outlook will focus on management issues and information sharing specifically designed for job shop owners and supervisors. Plating for Automotive will be aimed at automotive design engineers and will be offered on the second day of the conference along with a featured industry keynote speaker.

Exhibit space will be open to MFSA member companies and NAMF plating job shops only. This show distinguishes itself in the market as an event geared towards growing the industry, educating end-users and building recognition and demand for plating and finishing applications. In addition, revenue from the show will be directed to protect and promote the surface finishing industry.
