Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedPreventing Stopper Pop-Off - Brief Article
Automotive Finishing, Winter, 2000
The Twist-O-Mask prevents stopper pop-off due to air pressure buildup. Easily placed to mask tube ends, the product maintains secure coverage throughout the painting or coating process. One end of the silicone mask covers an end of the tube to be painted or coated. A rubber tail attached to the cover feeds through the tube.

When the tail is stretched slightly, it thins out, allowing the opposite end cover to be slid down the tail and into place over the second tube end. When the rubber tail is released, it expands and locks the cover securely into place, preventing pop-off when air pressure builds up inside the tube during processing.
