Henkel and Nihon Parkerizing Sign Technology Agreement - Brief Article

Automotive Finishing, Winter, 2000

Henkel Group, Madison Heights, MI, and Nihon Parkerizing Co. Ltd. signed a long-term technology agreement in 1988. In the past 10 plus years, the business environment surrounding both companies has dramatically changed to include the global restructuring of industries, changes in the market needs presented by worldwide environmental concerns and the increasingly fast paced, high-grade requirements of global technological development. In light of this situation, both companies decided to review their technology agreement and forge a new agreement that allows both companies to supply the technology and products that fully satisfy their customers in the changing and challenging global marketplace of the 21st century.

With this new agreement, advanced surface treatment technology developed by Nihon will be promoted via Henkel's global business network; surface treatment technology and products developed by Henkel, a global chemical manufacturer, will be supplied in Japan and neighboring countries via Nihon; Nihon and Henkel will be able to respond to the market needs more quickly and efficiently with new technical development in cooperation of the technical divisions of both companies; and this close alliance will allow the companies to unite and make contributions to solving environmental problems for customers worldwide.
