The Perma-Clean powder cartridge features a conductive, expanded ePTFE membrane over an aluminized polyester substrate. This combination results in low resistance (anti-static) and optimum powder release properties. In addition, the slick microporous surface of the cartridge is said to provide 100% efficiencies at 1 micron and above.
The cartridge differs from cellulose and polyester filter mediums in that it produces minimal powder retention. Its non-linting media reclaims powder that is uncontaminated and eliminates the need for seasoning or preconditioning. The cartridge can be washed repeatedly without compromising its performance characteristics.
