BASF's Integrated Process Wins Pace Award - Brief Article

BASF's Integrated Process, Southfield, MI, has won the 2001 Automotive News Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contributions to Excellence (PACE) Award in the open category for environmental advances. The process was developed and commercialized for the Mercedes-Benz A Class model.

The company received this prestigious recognition at the seventh annual PACE Awards ceremony. Automotive News and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young awarded BASF and eleven other automotive suppliers for showing the spirit of creativity and innovation in various categories.

Other awards given to the BASF process include: "Aktion Muensterland" Innovation Award: BASF Aktiengesell-schaft Innovation Award; finalist in the DaimlerChrysler Internal Innovation Award; European Better Environment Award for Industry; Environmental Protection Award of the Federation of German Industries and the Innovation Award in Cannes.
