Stephanie Stanley Alexander, president of BlackWords Press has signed M. Dion Thompson, a Baltimore Sun reporter and first-time novelist, to a two-book deal. The first book, Walk Like a Natural Man, is a coming-of-age novel set in black Hollywood and will be released this fall. The second project is so far untitled.

"We're very excited to be working with Dion," says Alexander. "We expect wonderful things from this talented writer, and we're looking forward to a long relationship with him."

Thompson carne to BlackWords Press after interviewing its founder, Kwame Alexander, for an article in the Baltimore Sun.
