Kensington Publishing Corp publishing is now the sole distributor for Genesis Press, the largest privately owned African American book publisher in the country. The agreement included all backlist Genesis Press rifles and the approximately 30 new rifles published annually. Wilbur and Dorothy Colom established Genesis in Columbus, Mississippi, in 1993.
Niani Colom, the daughter who helped establish the company, heads Genesis as associate publisher.
