National Art Education Association President Mac Arthur Goodwin released a national art education report "Visual Arts Education: Setting An Agenda For Improving Student Learning." According to NAEA Executive Director, Thomas Hatfield, "The purpose of the agenda is to call for substantive collaboration among education stakeholders and policy-makers centered on improving student learning in education in general and visual arts education in particular.
This will require the support and commitment of many groups within the Association to initiate innovative activities in their states and regions that focus on improving policies for student learning in art." Copies of "Visual Arts Education: Setting An Agenda For Improving Student Learning" can be downloaded in the recent news section online at www.naea-reston.org.
