Topic: RSS FeedYoung artist: Brandy Lemon - fourth-grade student discusses art appreciation
Arts & Activities, Feb, 2003 by Elaine Pruett
My mother inspired me to do art. She's always making something, like quilts and pictures. I always wanted to help her, so she gave me my own projects to work on, like paints, crayons, paper, fabrics and stuff.
I don't make my art for myself; I usually have someone in mind when I'm working on a project. I like to give my art as presents to my family. They always love it and hang it in their house where everyone can see it. They like it because I use a lot of detail and color.
My favorite artist is Leonardo da Vinci. He's cool! He is my favorite because his art is realistic; he was smart and had many great inventions.
My future goal is to have my own studio in Hawaii. I will have a house on the beach where I can enjoy the tropical sunsets.
