Young arts

Arts & Activities,  Feb, 2005  by Melissa Schreckenberger,  Claire Schreckenberger

Why I like art is because you can do anything you want. You can make up an imaginary world, something you have never done before. No one can tell you what you should do, you can do what you want. You can express your feelings while you do it.

I think my favorite kind of art is watercolor because you can mix the paints and be sloppy, and it still comes out pretty. I like to give people my art. It makes me feel happy in my heart because I know they like it!

I can show my feelings through my artwork. It is a way I can express myself. I feel like I can do anything I want in my artwork. There are so many kinds of art I like to do ... I don't really have a favorite. I get to do a lot of art in many different ways.

There are a lot of people around me who are artistic. My grandmother was a painter and she is an inspiration to me. It's just fun for me--it is just what I want to do!
