2007 Duck® brand duct tape 'Stuck at Prom®' contest

Arts & Activities,  March, 2007

Rather than blending in with the rest of the predictable, off-the-rack ensembles, high-schoolers are being challenged to create unique, fashion-forward outfits out of duct tape that are sure to steal the spotlight. Not only can students get creative with their promwear, but they will also have the opportunity to make college a little more affordable. The couple receiving the first place title will receive a $6,000 cash scholarship for college.

The Duck brand duct tape Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest rewards students for creativity and originality in creating or accessorizing prom formalwear with duct tape. This year, the judging will be done by the public online and, according to company officials at press time, also possibly by text messaging. Visit www.stuckatprom.com for official rules and registration forms. Contest begins March 5 and deadline for entries is June 8, 2007. Participants are required to submit a completed entry form, a photo of themselves wearing their duct-tape prom outfits and other documents required by contest rules.
