The Art Education Department at Buffalo State College is accepting proposals for a one semester Art Educator in Residence position to take place during the fall of 2002. The department is particularly interested in seasoned, experienced and active professionals, including those who have recently retired from active teaching.
The selected Art Educator will take an active role in the program while in residence, including weekly guest lectureships, research on art teacher preparation or urban education that engages students and faculty, teaching a graduate course on a topic of special interest to the Art Educator, and providing area art teachers with in-service opportunities.

Proposals must include a letter of intent, a current vitae and a 1-2 page abstract of what the applicant can offer students and the art education program. The department will begin screening proposals on Friday, January 18, 2002.
